The confidence of choosing a fully accredited aged care community

Tenterfield Care’s Haddington aged care community is ticking all the boxes in the delivery of quality residential aged care to locals, according to the Australian Government’s Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.

This community, now part of Apollo Care - an innovative national alliance of not-for-profit aged care communities - was recently audited by the Commission’s Aged Care Quality Assessors and achieved the maximum possible accreditation of three years as it was determined it meets or exceeds all eight Aged Care Quality Standards.

Apollo Care’s Chief Governance Officer, Kylie Radburn, said that this was an outstanding result for Tenterfield Care and the wider community it serves. “It’s fantastic that Haddington received such a glowing accreditation report from the Australian Government,” said Kylie. “With its sister community, Millrace, also fully accredited until February 2026, we are delighted that these two aged care communities have been formally recognised for providing the high level of care residents and their families deserve.”

The accreditation result follows an ongoing program of investment by Apollo Care that includes best-practice governance, an award-winning staff wellbeing program, technology upgrades and refurbishments.

Tenterfield Care’s Admissions Officer, Brooke Crotty, said the expert support from Apollo Care is empowering the team to enhance the lives of residents every day. “Each team member gains a deep understanding of each residents’ personal preferences and lifestyle choices, in addition to their specific care needs. “This enables us to support residents to live their way in a caring, homelike environment. We all work together to put residents first,” Brooke said.
